What's on the ballot?

During its April 7 regular meeting, the Board of Education adopted the 2026–27 budget proposal that will go before voters on May 19. The spending plan reflects continued efforts to remain fiscally accountable to our taxpayers, while supporting strong academic programming for our students.

The final revenue projections are incomplete pending an adopted state budget; however, at this time, the ballot will include an expenditure plan with:

  1. Proposition 1 the budget, which totals $107,095,296 and represents a budget-to-budget increase of $4.58 million 
    • projects a 4.7% increase in the tax levy, which is below the maximum allowable levy limit (5%) with exclusions
       
  2. Proposition 2 requests voter authorization to use $536,620 from the 2013 Technology and Classroom Equipment Reserve to purchase student laptops
     
  3. Election of three Board of Education candidates. The board race is uncontested with Sean McCabe, Mark McLean and David Gibbardo.
